Has anyone ripped the audio?

I really want both the soundtrack and the DVD, but I don't have $40+ to spend. I was wondering if I could buy the DVD and rip the audio from it. Has anyone done this? Recently I've run into some DVDs where I can't rip the audio...so I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks!

I would never condone such actions, of course. A lot of hard wok went into this production, and that work deserves the monetary reward that comes with it. However, most of the songs are posted on youtube, I believe, and if one was so inclined they could use various free youtube video download/converter programmes to get the mp3s without paying

I would never do that. I think that is downright stealing.

I agree, I bought both the bd and the soundtrack. But what's the difference between buying the dvd and ripping the songs from that, and buying the dvd and getting the songs from youtube? Either way, the companies responsible for producing the soundtrack and the artists performing miss out on their deserved reward for their work.
