That's what i'm hearing it is. Ive also heard the cast may be majority non japanese in order to stay true to the series plot. A rare thing for a film made in Japan.
shareYea, cause all japanese people look alike, and in the anime there appears to be white people only. But then that means that alot of white actors are gonna have to learn japanese. wonder how thats gonna turn out

Thats how japanese art style has always been not cause they want their characters looking white. And since in the Manga/Anime there is a european style location it would make sense to have european looking actors playing the part. The exception to that being the character of Mikasa.
sharethe anime takes place in europe, i can tell that just by the looks of the buildings furthermore most of the family names in the anime are German.

Would rather this be made in America if it is live action.
I dont mind subtitles or dubbing on animes but I find Japanese actors to be horrible and over-the-top. It would ruin the movie for me

no if it's made in America it has to be Hollywood and that's even worse, it's gonna be pg-13 they gonna make a love triangle between Eren, Armin and Mikasa (isn't that what they're doing in every movie these days).
i'd rather it gets an independant production like in a european country or just be a japenese movie with an international cast it worked for the korean Sci-Fi masterpiece Snowpiercer.
