will part 2 be self contained?

what i mean is, will part 2 wrap up the plot?

the show obviously has many more seasons in it, as it follows the manga, but from what i remember reading, the movies will be stand alone, and they dont have plans for a third and fourth, and are set to be different.

anyone have any sort of source confirming that they will have an actual ending instead of just taking back that wall?? i could have sworn i even read that they will put in their own answers for the titans and how they came ot be and why and all that jazz.

Judging from the promo trailer shown, they will fight a Female Titan (Annie?) and it will most likely end the same way the Anime Season 1 did.

How can it be Annie when she is not even in this story now?

They butchered the story in "part one" ... why bother with part two?

Thats why i put the "?" because I'm just guessing. A female Titan will be fought but we dont know if its Annie or some other person.... kinda like Shikishima was trying to be Levi

Wrap up how?

There's still a season 2 for the Anime on the books and I believe they still plan on writing more Manga for it, so they won't be wrapping anything up.

There will be a general conclusion to the current conflict, but there's definitely much much more that won't and can't be wrapped up in a part 2 movie.

I've heard everything to the contrary. like most movies, they do not follow the comics to any sort of exact degree, and they do not have plans for a third attack on titan film. I have been told (Though I've yet to see part 2) that it does wrap up the plot line, explain the titans etc.

like imagine if batman followed the decades and decades of comics to a Tee and just kept going until the comics reached their conclusion. they are very much thier own tellings of a similar concept.
