Very good point 'aihyah' - i am convinced oil companies hold patents for all sorts of alternative energies but why then does China not go ahead ? They are massively into solar for example , and they don't care about Russia or the U.S. , so what's stopping them ? Only thing i can think of is they been told to play ball or get nuked !

china doesn't because you can't do it just because you wish it, no more than you can wish time travel or warp speed space travel into existence. china is more than happy to build cheap solar panels that don't make any financial sense for the buyer, the chinese get paid in cash after all, the west pays out of tax subsidies for these panels and the chinese as good business people are more than willing to take that money. It doesn't mean it makes sense anymore than making and selling cheap chinese plastic junk for walmart makes sense. if you buy it, they will make it.

I'm not quite sure what you are going on about now - i say you have a good point & then you start rambling - it is well known that oil companies own patents , for example the creators of the new 'Tesla' electric car had to use hundreds of mobile phone batteries to get round them . It's right there in your face . Turn a light on or open your eyes !

Patents, by their very nature, are public. That was the point of our patent system - to prevent useful technology from becoming secret.
I'm an electrical engineer. I know there is nothing like free energy. Alternative energy - certainly, but not free.
This film is a bunch of garbage. If you want to go the conspiracy route, this entire film was made to discredit those people who were interviewed.
Because they don't want to open source them, in order to make money on them, by licensing or other means.
There is no "free energy", but there can exist very cheap energy.
But the real point is not if it is free or not; the point is who gets to
control it. A fully de-centralised energy system that operates with off the shelf
fuel is dangerous because it would kill the established energy status quo.
You just need some common sense to understand this : if you were a multi billion $ industry wouldn't you defend that revenue by any means necessary?

It's not about whether one type of energy is better, or feasible, or even possible... It's about who gets to CONTROL that form of energy. And you can bet those with the deep pockets to buy influence and opinion will spend whatever it takes to keep that control.
For example, just look at the massive PR campaigns the energy companies launched to convince the public that fracking is good for the economy because it creates jobs. And how much they also spent to discredit environmentalists who provided proof on the how the levels of contamination of groundwater has significantly risen in the areas where fracking occurs, not to mention the huge rise in the incidence of earth tremors (i.e., earthquakes) in these areas...areas that don't normally experience them. But hey, it's good for the economy! Yeah, our economy right now...*beep* future generations who will have to live on that land.

Listen up kid, the internet was not always around, in fact its relatively new in the history of man on this planet, even within the history of this Country. But you probably think the US has always been as it is today.
1) Most of these incidents, not all, were per-internet era so you won;t find them on the net.
2) As for the more recent incidents like this you have patent/copyright issues not to mention legal issues and last but not least personal health issues as in staying alive. If you invent some device that would revolutionize energy and rid us of the need for oil, coal or any other fossil fuel and you got a visit from government looking thugs in suits who beat you up and said they would kill you if you did anything else with your device, you too would probably choose to NOT upload the thing on the internet as it would paint a bog target on yourself.
3) As for the "Conspiracy Theory" line of BS you need to stop using it. The tides are turning and people who throw around he Its Conspiracy Theory line these days for every little thing they disagree with or are unable to logically explain are now viewed as most likely being the liars/scam artists or at best, useful idiot.n

Some things I know:
(1) Battery banks are great. Elon Musk (who is the devil) is now trying to corner the market on this. But you can do it yourself. All online.
(2) Solar is inefficient for the average person, as is wind (unless you live on the plains) and water (unless you have a waterfall). Geothermal is GREAT if you live near a geyser or other source.
(3) Tesla's model may or may not be doable. His AC generators work well with water, not so much with auras and aether.
(4) Water-cracking has been accomplished. Fusion is hidden from you.
