I felt the same way but gave it a shot anyway, and it wasn't bad. I went in with extremely low expectations, so that might have factored in. It's too soon to tell if the rest of the series will be good, but it could be ok.

I think it is a different story just with the same setting, more like 'Farscape' with kids as main characters in star wars universe, without Jedi and Sith, but probably with some kind of weird force users, like in "The Acolyte".
