At one point the main protangonist threw the phone out of the car/van window and yelled he didn't want to continue playing. So wasn't that ending the whole game? If I'm not mistaken, if you decide to quit, then the game will finsih and you'll lose all your money. HOWEVER, after that action the game did continue for him (till the very end when he shot his brother and had lots of money on his account). How come?
sharei didn't view that as a problem; i just figured the people running the game just left the challenge open to be completed and if he did end up doing the challenge then it kept going.
shareBut didn't the voice on the phone make it clear from the very beginning that if you either interfered with the game (by calling the police or trying to track the "puppet masters" down), or backed out of the game the whole thing would come to and end?
shareThe main character was still 'in play.' Backing out of the game can be interpreted in different ways. Makes perfect sense to me that the guy on the other end of the phone would just wait to see if he completed the next challenge or just backed out of the situation entirely to determine if he really backed out of the game.
