Jeremy Irvine

Jeremy was fantastic in this I think he gave the 2nd best performance after Colin Firth

Dare I say it, Jeremy Irvine is even better than Colin Firth. He deliver the best performance in the film, hands down. All his scenes are so gripping and he made it look so realistic.

reply

I agree, to be honest I wasn't massively Impressed with Firth. He was good but it wasn't his best. Irvine meanwhile made the film.

reply

I don't think I've seen him before but I thought he was excellent to. Also, he really looked like some one cast in an immediate post war film.

reply

I agree! He was really great. I like the fact that he loves doing these kind of films instead of fluffy franchise type of stuff. It's admirable that he likes doing movies that have meaning to them

"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"

Love Les Miserables!!!

I think he was better than Firth (who was probably actually my least favourite of the performances in the movie). He, and Tanroh Ishida were the two really good things in the film. The way he echoed Firth without hamming it up was quite brilliant.

I think his role was actually more difficult, as he had to play Firth playing Lomax. He was really good.

I do think Irvine and Firth were both equally good.

reply

I think he was perfectly cast as a young Colin Firth and it is definitely between the two of them as to who gave a better performance.

I can see Jeremy going far in the film industry if he continues to choose the "right" roles. A name to watch over the next 5-10 years.

I'm glad to see so many others recognizing this. I thought his performance was the most fantastic in the movie. Over Firth...over everyone.. He nailed it.
I'll be looking for him after this.

And, yeah...he doesn't want to be a "movie star'...he wants to be an actor.
I respect that.

I've upped my standards............Up yours

He gave a stellar performance. Had Firth's voice and mannerisms down perfectly.

Surprisingly good.
Watch out for him in "Stonewall" next year.
