Intense movie. Good not because I enjoyed it....
It was good because I didn't know what was going to happen next. It was good because I cared about the characters. Well written and brings up an interesting discussion on military strikes where children are present. Not that that has evert stopped us before. We bombed Dresden and killed 1000s of children. Casualty Damage galore. With all this high tech video feeds we now have people in power well informed of who they are about to kill. I think we kill FAR less innocent people than we ever did before.
I'm really a pacifist. I'm even a card carrying liberal Unitarian Universalist. But I was all for the surgical strike. It was obvious it was going to save more lives innocent lives in the end.
The argument that it could be used as a propaganda tool is bogus. To the people on the street it would look like a bomb went off not a drone strike. No one would have seen the missile come in.
I think the reality is we never get video feeds of inside the houses like this and our "leaders" shoot missiles into building all the time with only a tiny hint of bad guys. If what really happens was portrayed then the argument against this power would be a lot stronger.
I wonder if the Beetle and hummingbird spy bugs are real. You know in real life the SECOND any military person saw those bombs the strike would have flew down in SECONDS. There is no debating legal when it is that clear cut.
Reality is they probably strike a lot more on far less video.
