Big Glaring Plothole

Why didn't they send Damisi to buy the bread? After Jama got chased away, Damisi should have thrown on a hijab, gotten out of the van, and gone over to buy the bread herself. Problem solved.

They just lost Jama so it was obviously too risky to send her in. Also she was probably there for logistical support only.

I agree - and more than one glaring plot hole.

If the beetle operator could get in to sell buckets & buy bread - why couldn't he just go visit the dad & mom & little girl, and get all 3 of them away from the area - AND do it long before the beetle battery died . . .

Also - since that didn't happen - the powers that be could have sent funds and aid waiting at the hospital.

Meanwhile, fatalities of war happen.

Beauracracy adds a lot of totally unnecessary red tape.

That was all certainly portrayed accurately . . .

Other unrealistic things mentioned here - the over-emoting of the eye-guy & gal, and the delay he kept taking with orders - non of this would ever happen to anywhere near this extreme.

And also the unrealistic way the orders were repeatedly given . . . didn't seem specific & firm enough - just 'you have clearance' -

Not sure why the stats guy gave her a possible 45% collateral damage when she was only begging for 50. That seemed weird.

And the woman in the British meeting of minds!!! I wanted to ring her neck and take her right onto a mall or a 5K in Boston or into the twin towers,
right after impact and leave her there for a week picking up pieces of hundreds of people.
Then see how she feels about her PR & collateral damage issues ...

She was completely unrealistic to me.

This movie sucked and I'm disappointed bc I love Helen Mirren. But everyone's entitled to do a stupid-dud-of-a-movie - right?

WAR.
What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing.

It would have been too suspicious, someone else attempting to buy all the bread immediately after the man tried to buy all the bread.

I choose to believe what I was programmed to believe
