Yeah, well-written film, but...


Except for that silly male-impersonator thing that Helen Mirren does in every movie she's in, I enjoyed the film. Ticked all the boxes but managed to avoid most of the clichés, (a rare thing in Hollywood these days).

If they keep up this kind of screenwriting and editing, maybe there's still some chance that movies will be worth watching again, some day.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean that Mirren's performance was "male", I think it's worth noting that her role was originally written as a male part. I don't think it actually changes anything having it be a woman though, because her performance is very "British military" which all sound the same anyway :P
