Best war movie of our generation
It was that good. This movie "gets" war. It understands its a messy, ugly, and violent business and there isn't a whole lot of room for moralizing. I like how the movie didn't try to make a political statement. It simply took one day in the ongoing War on Terror and showed it from all sides and emphasized the complexity of modern warfare. But most importantly, it showed that all war involves tragedy and violence, not just big ones like the world wars. Supported by some excellent acting and superb filmmaking, Eagle Eye was a mature film that, hopefully, instills a mature attitude regarding war in the public.
