What if it was a US or British crowded suburb? (spoilers)

Would they still risk >50% collateral damage with a drone strike?

I'll be good I swear... I'll never see a movie ever again.

I don't think targeted drone strikes are allowed within US soil. I could be wrong. So the answer would be no.

not yet.....

Definitely not, I'd say. US has their own military on the ground so no need for them. They'd just send in the troops, which they've done on several occasions. Police, anyway.

Stupid question. If they knew where they were on American or British soil, they would send in armored ground vehicles, helicopters, and soldiers. The drones themselves are meant to be a high danger, no casualty solution to combat, not a one size fits all. There is a big difference between a town full of Jihadi's and a town in a western nation.

Exactly Drone strikes are usually deployed when the US military can't get boots on the ground like for example in the Tribal Regions on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border or say Yemen and other African nations with Islamic terrorist organisations.
Any white person sent into those areas are considered a spy and tortured then killed. Drones are silent compared Fighters/Bombers and can stay on Station a lot longer providing better Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance video and pictures.

The CIA is legally not allowed to conduct operations or act on US Soil, that is left to the FBI:

“By law, the CIA is specifically prohibited from collecting foreign intelligence concerning the domestic activities of US citizens. Its mission is to collect information related to foreign intelligence and foreign counterintelligence. By direction of the president in Executive Order 12333 of 1981 and in accordance with procedures approved by the Attorney General, the CIA is restricted in the collection of intelligence information directed against US citizens…”

There would be no need for a Drone strike with a Hellfire missile on a person in an US State. That would be left to Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and their relevant Tactical/SWAT Teams!

Do you even know the reason drones are used? If you did you wouldn't ask such an idiotic question.

Something similar has happened in the US but Americans have short memory spans. In 1985 there was an African American separist group called MOVE in Philadelphia. There had been a previous confrontation in 1978 while trying to evict them from a house. A policeman was killed and seven people were given 100 years in prison.

This time the police were determined to root them out of another house which had been boarded up. In 90 minutes over 500 policemen fired 10,000 rounds into the house. Then used high pressure water hoses and tear gas. The Mayor and others asked the police to negotiate due to children in the house but the police commissioner refused.

Instead they used a bomb dropped from a police helicopter with a 45 second timer on the roof. It had C-4 supplied by the FBI and Tovex TR2, a dynamite substitute. The roof caught fire immediately. Firefighters were told to stand down and let it burn. People trying to escape from the inferno were shot at by the police.

The fire jumped from row house to row house and then to nearby streets burning the entire area.

I saw a site with color photos of the houses burning and aerial views showing blocks of burned out houses. No one was ever charged. Five children between 7 and 13 were shot or burned to death.

The Delta Force has taken part in some operations around the country but it is not really talked about. One was against the Branch Davidians in Waco when the DEA couldn't get the job done. They also used tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles from Fort Hood.

I have no special regard for the cult but Timothy McVeigh went there that day and was interviewed as a bystander by a Dallas TV station. He was non committal but then went home and began planning revenge which resulted in the Oklahoma City bombing of the FBI.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
