This was one that had some serious positive buzz and I was waiting for the pretentious message, but it never came. The problem is, no message ever came. It ended up simply being a story. Yes, here's where someone feverishly types in that I should go back to Transformers (which I've seen only the first and despised). My big issue is the acting, the plot and essentially the fact that nothing happened. I also realize if we try really hard, we can come up with a justification of all the little goofs in the movie actually being the symbolism it sorely lacked, but the reality is, it's a creature movie with 2 seconds of creature, which means, unless Europa Report 2 is in the works, we're not getting anything out of this. It's scare that the entire time I was watching I felt like this movie was in some ways, what The Abyss would have been with no budget. I wanted so often for this movie to go in any one of ten directions, but it stayed the course, which was essentially a bad road trip. This was Gravity, minus the happy ending
