Had funny moments, but what a terrible story

I really hate when I see a sequel they took this long to make a sequel and this is the best they could come up with for a story? It was so rushed and poorly written it's like they didn't even try and just crammed a couple of ideas together and said "We'll figure out how these all end while making it". Thankfully, the movie was actually pretty funny, but the poor story and writing was so distracting I don't feel like I got my money's worth. Unlike the original, I don't think I will be watching this one again.

From what I've heard, Lydia's daughter doesn't believe that she's got supernatural abilities and can see ghosts which means neither Lydia or Delia have told her about their experiences and friendship with Adam and Barbara which is a huge F you by Tim Burton to those two characters.

Unless I've got this wrong?

so a teenager not believing someone if they tell her the events of the first movie is unreasonable?

She had poloroids of two bed sheet figures with no feet. Do you really believe with all of Lydia's time with Adam and Barbara doing things like floating in the air that photos or filming wouldn't have happened of the fun she was having?

Adam and Barbara became a family with the Deetz's at the end of the original.
