Will this work after all these years?

I hope Keaton and Ryder return, but he should of done a sequel twenty years ago, I'm not a fan of all these late sequels.

I think there's a very low likelihood. It's hard to recreate magic like Beetlejuice after so long. With that said, they might have just the right level of magic to make it work. An older Michael Keaton might give us a bitter, nasty Beetlejuice which could be as shocking and interesting as funny.

Either way, I doubt the light fun of the first can be quite replicated, but perhaps we can get a very dark comedy that's really got something interesting to say or do with the Beetlejuice character and world.

It can't be done. The era when Beetlejuice was created was special. Don't be surprised when the new one comes out with a bunch of harsh unnatural neon lighting and modern "humor."

I'll watch it. No doubt it will be full of surreal imagery and campy twists. Could be very original

The zeitgeist that spawned Beetlejuice is long gone. It will most likely suck.
