That hand twitch by Genny after Ciro 'killed' him. Honestly it reminded me of Jason at the end of one of the Friday 13th movies. Absolutely ridiculous. Also very unrealistic that, the usually cold, Ciro would not finish off Genny with a bullet in the head.
What I absolutely loved about the series was the raw, realism as well as great characters and capturing of the bleak Naples landscape. Of course I will continue to watch but I just hope this Hollywood moment is just a minor blip.

I liked that Genny survived but at the same time, it was probably the only Hollywood thing about this series.

Genny was so annoying at first, and so great in the end...

So true. In truth, it probably was out of place from the rest of the show, but I was gutted when Genny was seemingly killed, so seeing he could survive was brilliant for me!

Amazing show either way though, one of the best for a long time.

Ciro is nicknamed Ciro l'immortale for the reason that he survived some assasinations.
If he didn't shot him in the head there are greater chance to survive.
This is based on a book where there are a lot of hits that failed so why not Ciro fail like Genny boys with Malamore.

I really didn't see it as a "Hollywood moment", I mean it's kind of integral to the story no? It also builds suspension and excitement for the continuation of the series.
