Genny not killing Ciro was annoying

The scene was so contrived especially knowing Genny would never kill him, cause u cant kill the main character of the show.
So the whole time i knew Genny wouldn't do it which makes the scene useless.
Same thing with Don Salvatore I knew his men would doublecross him and he wouldnt kill Ciro. This is the second Ciro death scene that did not come to fruition and it annoys the hell out of me.

Genny could'nt kill Ciro if he wanted to go on seperate path from his father , I'm not sure Ciro will survive his father though or Genny for that matter , e07-08 showed the begining of a father-son war

Letting him live, knowing the guilt he feels over his his wife's murder hurts far more than just killing him.
