The x-mas ornament as metaphor. Yikes

I started the series missing the first episode. When he uses the christmas ornament to describe Hollywood as a shiny object then it falls and breaks! Talk about as contrived as it gets. Slow motion even.
That plus his horrible delivery as a narrator are going to make this a chore. I love film history but this shows why many are critics and not artists.

I just saw the "brittle" (he loves that word) ornament that shattered. Is that supposed to be Hollywood? That why Hollywood is still making movies?

This guy is so freaking in love with himself, it's nauseating. Put that together with that annoying RISING AT THE END OF EVERY SENTENCE accent, and I turned on Brownlow's "Hollywood" instead. A real documentary, vs. the musings of a jerk.

Yeah is inflection is grating. It has nothing to do with accent it's his dramatic addition. Just silly.
