Does it have 29 golf courses? Is it in the High Plains Desert?

The name of the city is Bend, Oregon and it is located in the high desert. There are over two dozen golf courses in the area.

I'm not much of a golfer but my Dad is into it and plays Juniper and the Eagle Crest courses. Broski.
