Llewyn was his name! I thought it was.......

.....Llewellyn until I watched the film! My mind (being from Wales and thus Welsh language orientated) must have auto corrected the spelling to read the usual Welsh name spelling.

Nb. I've asked around and not many people have heard of the name Llewyn.

To be honest the first time a character said it I thought they must have mispronounced it (for a non Welsh person it would be difficult) but then the more it was said the more it grated.

Also when I pronounce the title I have to correct myself stating is should be Inside Llewyn Davis not Inside Llewellyn Davis!

Also I've just thought that if he is part of a Welsh family then his surname is more likely to be spelt Davies and not Davis (obviously this is my personal experience).

Otherwise an enjoyable film with a great joke about Welsh rarebit! (no it doesn't usually have that effect on people).

Also Lewellyn is Josh Brolin's character in No Country

Ever since I first heard about this movie coming out, I had it in my head that it was "Inside Llewellyn Davis", and I am not even Welsh. I am just more familiar with that name. It wasn't until I saw it tonight with the captions on that I realized his name was Llewyn.

Glad I wasn't the only one.
