How well-utilized is the sound with this film?

With every film I see I try to get the best viewing experience possible. Now that I have Amazon Prime, I have a recurring problem where I can watch some films I have on DVD in HD (sometimes even 1080p) if they become available on Prime, but the only place I can stream at such a HD quality is away from a modest, but effective, 5.1 surround sound system. Instead, I can only stream HD material with a TV that's connected to a stereo system. Of course, most films are mixed at 5.1 (or more) so I face the decision about whether or not I should watch in HD on a 1080p TV with the sound coming out of stereo speakers OR if I should watch in lower quality on a smaller 1080p computer monitor that is hooked up to 5.1 surround sound.

Crisp image tends to be more beneficial, but with a few films I find that the surround sound adds so much to the experience of the film (All is Lost would be a good example). Considering Inside Llewyn Davis is a film about a musician and comes from two of the most celebrated directors working in the last 25 years, I was wondering if anyone could help me decide if I should watch it on DVD or catch it in HD before it leaves Amazon Prime.

Additionally, if anyone could answer the same question in regards to No Country For Old Men, which is also on Amazon Prime, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for any input in advance.
