Because I can't enjoy a horror movie unless something loud happens every three minutes, and every scene has a little girl who suddenly has gaping eye and mouth holes and screams!!!

You forgot the obligatory T&A, a paper thin morality lesson that's somehow supposed to justify all the loud noises and jump scares,plot holes you can drive a trailer through, and the PR machine defending it as a horror mystery thriller" when it's neither thrilling nor mysterious, and only the acting is horrific. Not to mention all the sleek, beautiful young actors who are nice to look at but couldn't act if their lives depend on it and a script full of inane blather...and for a nice finishing touch, poor lighting and direction, and a hack job by the editors that removes any and every scene that'll make the movie have even the slightest shred of sense.
