If the first movie was about the last exorcism...

It is like "The Neverending Story Part Two"

The was that because it was Cotton Marcus' last exorcism. He said that after that, he will spend more time with his family. That's why he wanted to document it - because it's his last. He also wanted to show how he fools everyone. But then it all went wrong and Nell really got possessed. And the pastor of their local church was part of a cult or something... Blah blah blah.

What's confusing me now is that this is not about Cotton Marcus' last exorcism anymore. It's not appropriate.

Not a title fail...just inappropriate.

Jesus, its named that purely for a cash-in. Instead of thinking up something original, the producers simply say, "well, the first one did pretty well in the box office, so let's slap the same name on it, make it a sequel by casting a lead from the original (we won't have to pay the no-name girl that much), and let's just re-hash the same crap."

I can't wait for 'The Last Exorcism VIII - Jason Takes Manhatt.....no wait, I'm getting confused

If it was 'The Last Exorcism II' you would have a case. But it is 'The Last Exorcism PART II.'

The word 'part' is very important - it allows the makers to present this as a continuation of 'The Last Exorcism', rather than a sequel.

i'm waiting for "The Last Exorcism: Part 6, The Last Part"

if they changed the title of the first one to "The Second To Last Exorcism", i'd be willing to forgive almost anything actually in either movie. That's the kind of long-term, multi-million dollar joke that you don't get to see much.
