The Sequel NO ONE asked for!
I don't know any horror fans or ANYONE in general that was clamoring for a sequel! WTH!

Was the first one even in theaters? I didn't know it was, so I was shocked when I saw the trailer for part II this weekend while seeing Mama.
share^Yes, the first one was released into theaters in August 2010.
shareI remember wanting to take the time to go see the first one when it was out in theaters, but… Now that I've seen part 2, I would like to see part 1 on DVD (but is the DVD even available?)

this is getting a sequel because the first film cost $1.8 million to make and made $41 million domestically and $67 million worldwide. The film also had a $20 million opening weekend so it was actually profitable on its opening day. I'm not surprised it got a sequel but I didn't realize this got decent reviews when it came out. 73 percent fresh on rotten tomatoes. I guess all these factors resulted in them going ahead with another one but I doubt it will see the same success.
shareThe fact that it wasn't screened for critics doesn't bode well.
shareLoved the first, excited for the second.

I kind of thought one was direct to DVD lol as i saw on Netflix and never heard of it before that. Then again when a movie is out for roughly a year before going to Netflix that usually doesn't say much for that movie anyways. IDK number 1 was boring to the point i used it for background music while i did some dishes and cannot see, other then a money view, why a sequel would be wanted. So tired of the "horror" genre being destroyed by "found footage" pieces of you know what. Really Last exorcism, POA 1-4 (i think there is 4 idk anymore) who thinks these are honestly horror movies lol to me they are more like lame college projects then multi million dollar budget films.
