The insult is necessary to educate morons that this concern has been beaten to death and if it's a joke I fail to see how it is even remotely funny.

There was also The Last Don II, based on a lesser Mario Puzo story. It could just mean that it is continuing the story of this Last Don, but I'm pretty sure the head gangster from the first one died. Nothing can stop a sequel.
