shareThat's why I never bother to see possession movies anymore. They're all the same. Contorted body, deep voice, swearing, priests, blah blah blah...
However, I do really like The Exorcism of Emily Rose because it was mostly a courtroom drama.

If you want a different take on the whole possession thing, try Hannah Montana: The Movie, and imagine a girl who's normal but then when she's possessed, she turns into this flippant rock starlet who can't control her smiling and jumping around and singing. If you think of it that way, it becomes one of the scariest movies you'll ever see.

I always thought that was a film about a girl with multiple personality syndrome who is really in an asylum the whole time... this fantasy of being a rock star is just a delusion in her head.
M Night Shyamalan: What a tweest!

I do agree...even though I usually do give most of them a Netflix stream anyway when they come on there, just in case. But nearly every time, it is indeed more of the same. It was good the first time, maybe the first few times, but now more and more just isn't necessary, really...:\
shareCheck out Constantine, Lost Souls, The Order.
Let me release you from this imperfect flesh that ties you to time and space.
They won't stop until people stop paying to watch this crap.

Imagine how exhausting then the labor of the ministry, their days consumed with concocting rationales for The Devil being the sole root and instigator of every ill in the lives of their respective congregations.
I agree. And the possessed girl bending over backwards is getting old, too. Ooh. She's flexible.
Well sir, you can blame me, I mean, I'm the one that shot him.

yeeeeeeesssss, buuuuuuuuutttttt I found The Last Exorcism one of the best I've seen.
BTW Hollywood is the saaaaaaammmmeeee over and over and over and over and over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over,
but people tend to complain more with horror, and they use to eat the same action movie,
over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over over and over and over.
Don't you get tired of people who take the time and effort to come to a MB of a movie genre they are tired of just to post a thread that they are tired of that type of movie.
You must be really bored.
Oh and the first one totally broke the mold of "Exorcism" movies.
That is if you took the time to watch it before making this tired stupid thread
But you could say that about any type of film. All slasher movies feel the same, all superhero movies feel the same, all zombie movies feel the same, all romance movies feel the same, etc.
Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.
@ncsteelersfan43 yes fortunely i got a lot of free time.
and yes we can say the same with all genres, but other genres aren't that SAME/EQUAL/IDENTICAL to exorcism movies, always the same, a girl get possesed, bends all over the room, talk with some screwed voice....U can easly make some change and make an enjoyable movie, like somebody said up there Constantine is an example that u can make something diferent with same thematic, another example, Hansel & Gretel, a kid's tale, turned into an action movie, my point is that you can squeez the genre with some changes and make an original movie.
