Didn't Nell have a demon baby at the end of Part I?
What happened to it?

This film was odd. Not nearly as terrible as I thought it would be, but it seems like it cannot decide what 'kind' of film it wants to be.
A horror film but has some dark comedy in it too.

Are they setting us up for Part III, do you think, or Nell choosing evil the end of the story?

It wasn't even addressed apart from the 'it didn't really happen' conversation. I waited the whole way through this wreck of a film and nope, none, zero, zilch, nada and nothing. Ridiculous. You'd think they would know that the audience would like to know more about the demon baby of Abalam.

I think the baby was Abalam. Which I have to ask, why would they throw the baby into the fire?

It's the only way it can transform into its true form, and therefore, the only way they can defeat it.

So the baby was the demon, and they tossed it into the fire to 'release' it then?
That would make a kind of sense, given how unearthly the baby looked.

It's kind of a un-holy poke at the Christian ideology. Abalam impregnates a virgin who gives birth to himself or a manifestation of himself on earth.
