what happened to cotton?
it doesnt explain in the film what happened to cotton from the end of the first film does it?

I think the entire film crew of the first movie died.

When you go to the FAQ of the first flick it states that it isnt shown and that it would probably be left to the sequel to tell if he actually lived or died. Kind of bummed that a clear answer isnt giving. But the obvious choice is he died. I actually liked his character.

Everybody who was in that field at the end of the 1st movie (except NELL) died.

In case no one has stated what happened to him, He died. When he and the crew where at Nell's house, they saw pictures which depicted them dead. If you see the pictures, you can see they all died the way they were depicted in the pictures, including Cotton, which if I remember correctly, is shown on fire.
shareActually, I think the picture just showed Cotton standing in front of the fire, like we see at the end of the movie. He wasn't dead in the picture (that I remember, anyway).
