Batman out of the League
How can they kick him out? Its his damn space station anyway...
shareSez who?
Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
Some of them wanted to.. especially Wonder Woman.
But in the movie, vote never happened. It seems to me Batman quit the Justice League. Like he said, he don't belong there. And "If you people can't see the potential danger of an out-of-control Justice League... YOU ARE FOOLS!" In their faces.
And then as he was getting the teleporter ready, Superman gives him the kryptonite. Seems to me it was Superman's way of saying, "You're right, everyone can be corrupted, even the Justice League." Well, he should know. He's the easiest to corrupt with red krytonite.
As for Wonder Woman, she's already corrupted, that's why she's so defensive about the matter. She's like the most arrogant member there is. And if you check out another movie, JL: New Frontier, there was a confrontation there between Superman and Wonder Woman because the latter has been up to some not-so-nice stuff. Think leading a bunch of women to a killing spree.
Anyways, now that Batman's out, Justice League is pretty much scrwd. I'm thinking the next Justice League movie will be like thus: the remaining members don't take long to find themselves in a situation where their powers prove useless and they have to turn to The Dark Knight once again. And they won't find him. He's still upset about how foolish his former teammates are. But it would still be Superman to get him back.
None of the Justice League movies have a shared continuity.

And how would he kick them out anyway, if Bruce Wayne is the name on the Watchtower deed, wouldn't the government be like "Wayne Industries owns that huge satellite shock full with alien weapons and tech?! And he wants us to help him get it back into his possession? Get me Cadmus on the phone ASAP."
But that's just me.
I haven't seen this, I don't mind spoilers, and I am going to watch this but based on the posts in this thread it seems like the situation with Batman and JL is kind of harping back to Batman Beyond which I think is kind of cool.
And as far as Batman owning the station, well the government (that black lady, I forget her name but she was in the show) knew he was Bruce Wayne. At least some of them knew. But I would imagine the space station 'belonged' to something like the UN to be honest. Even in a superhero world and given the theme the movie and other situations in the cartoons give of superheroes going rogue or being corrupted, I don't think they'd let them just build it on their own lol.
Amanda Waller and Cadmus are a secret arm of the government, I meant the actual government. And IIRC the Earth not owning the station was part of the whole Cadmus deal.
But that's just me.
Supes giving Batman the kryptonite was symbolic that he agreed with him. Actually in the comic at one point Supes came to the same conclusion Bats did about him potentially going out of control, and Bruce was the man he entrusted to stop him with said chunk of Kryptonite. If Superman's going so far as to give Batman the means to stop him from going out of control, and says he thinks it's a good idea, a majority of the others would probably come around to that way of thinking (especially because it's correct).
shareBatman is not perfect. He knows this. This is why he made the "then you're damned fools" comment about the rest of the league not having a contingency against him. It's not that Bruce or anyone thinks he's perfect or infallible, quite the opposite. Bruce knows that any given time his rage might go out of control and it might behoove the rest of the League to have a plan in case Bruce does snap be it by a mental breakdown or an outside influence like Fear Gas.
shareWhen does it show the league members voting him out? It doesn't.
All it shows Batman getting ready to take the transporter off the station after he's told off his fellow leaguers and Superman coming and giving him the bullet before he does.
i'm not sure that the jla had an issue with batman having contingencies per se, it was the manner in which they found out. imo, he should have openly discussed the need for contingencies before actually drafting them, out of respect for his colleagues. it was noticeable that he didn't offer one word of regret for what they went through, (after all, it was his computers that were hacked) especially the martian manhuter, which is quite appalling i think. what an arrogant arse.
there was a similar plot in avengers assemble, when the avengers were attacked using plans put together by falcon when he was working for shield. at least falcon had the grace to be mortified, and he apologised too.
before we get started, does anyone want to get out?
Children arguing.
He was good to leave.
I wonder what it would have changed.
Batman probably wouldn't care much.
And since most of them have a helper syndrome anyway and Batman is quite a tech/gadget guy with _the_ money and a decent strategist, they probably wouldn't ignore that when in need. So whatever their votes it wouldn't mean much.
