must've been a very deep sleeper....

first off, the dude sleeps through his sailboat ramming into a cargo container hard enough to rip a huge gash in the side. he doesn't wake up until the next morning when there's already a foot of water in his boat.

later, he sleeps through his raft flooding. he doesn't wake up until he's basically lying in 6 inches of water and sopping wet.

later still, he sleeps through a massive barge cruising right by his raft. he doesn't wake up until the barge is basically right next to him.

wtf?

I know!

I don't suffer from extreme sleep problems, but I doubt I would even be able to get to sleep on that boat, let alone sleep through all that!

This movie helped me fall asleep.

I thought the same thing. If I was in the raft, I would have noticed the water after the first drop. Definitely an amazingly good sleeper. Maybe he brought his Ambien with him...

I know from personal experience that when you are absolutely exhausted, you will fall asleep and you will not wake up for anything. Maybe you will drift towards a hynopompic state, replete with hallucinations, but you'll fall right back down into deep REM sleep afterwards.

Ah, the voice of reason. How refreshing.
