Fantastic movie!

I gave it a 10. Enjoyed soooo much. It is tense, dramatic, thrilling and amazing. I especially like that there are no lines but it still remains interesting through out.

I'm with you. I actually love how little dialog there was. Every interview I've ever seen Robert Redford in, he seemed very quiet, limited with how much he said, but the entire time, you can see him and feel him analyzing, thinking about the situation or question... and that's exactly how he behaved in this movie. This is exactly how I picture the real Robert Redford behaving I'd he were really in this situation... maybe adding a "Dammit" here or there.

The fact that I found myself entertained and totally drawn and focused the entire time throughout this movie despite the low number of characters and dialog shows how well it was written and portrayed. It was written with almost every possible bad scenario in it without being ridiculous.

Just because the majority of people these days don't have the patience to go 10 seconds without the angle changing a hundred time to catch their eye doesn't mean this movie was done poorly... it means they have ADD issues.

Amen to that. Old Rob rules! :)

Agreed! I can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it. There's something that has always captivated me about a lone person against the elements. I was along for the ride and captivated the entire time. I loved Redford's performance.

I was also envious of his patience and his methodical approach to things. I'd have been a screaming mess from the moment I woke up to the damaged hull.

I hope The Martian will have a similar vibe. The book certainly did.

I am too a huge fan of this movie in fact when I find out it is on I watch it. think it is more difficult to do a movie that doesn't have a lot of dialog and that is what makes this movie so unique
