The death pictures were not necessary.

I thought this documentary was fairly well done until I'm seeing grotesque pictures right at the end. I've been on the internet since its inception. Rotten.com, consumption junction, strangeland, ogrish, liveleak, best gore ,etc...all have been visited by myself when the time was right.

It actually pissed me off to see Diane like that. The person that decided to put those pictures in this documentary is a jerk. There I said it!

I agree, after the first image was shown I was scared *beep* there would be images of the children as well. Fortunately we were spared.

Let's see ...

1. This is a documentary.

2. And, furthermore, it's a documentary that is documenting death.

3. And, furthermore, it is documenting a gruesome and violent death (or, rather, deaths, plural).

With all that in mind, it is somehow inappropriate to show (i.e., to document) a picture of one of the violent deaths?

The very thing that the film is documenting?

Really?

How so?

It was shown for impact. It wasn't that bad or distasteful. Maybe after seeing that people will think twice before driving under the influence. I applaud the filmmaker.

I think it was very appropriate for the same reason it's appropriate to show teenagers about to get their license the Red Asphalt type films. This is what happens to you when you drive like an idiot or drink and drive. It's not glamorous, you don't go out pretty. In one second you're a sloppy slab of beef on the highway.

It took me three hours to figure out that FU was Felix Ungar.

This part haunted me :( couldn't stop thinking about it.

When I saw the picture, I was shocked and horrified. Then I thought... good. She did not deserve to have that same dignity in death as her victims. She was the one who drank a bottle of vodka and drove those babies yo their deaths! It was then that I realized that the filmmaker wasn't trying to find out what "medically" happened to her. They wanted to show what happens when you are selfish and destructive and decide take others down with you.
