What was the point of Thomas (spoiler)?

Being in the tape at the end? It's presented as some sort of big twist, but what is the meaning we're supposed to take from it? If he had amnesia, then it just seems like a pointless coincidence. Is it supposed to be some kind of conspiracy that he brought the lead woman to the site of the testing and then killed himself in front of her after bleeding out of his eyes for a while without explaining anything to her? What purpose would that serve?

Ha. Happy i'm, not the only one who is wondering about that. I also tried to see what the implications are of him being on that tape but didn't find a satisfying answer. It was indeed presented as some kind of twist at the end but as far as purpose and meaning go, i have no idea.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs
