Confused about Andres Spoilers

I'm getting old and sometimes I lose track of people's names in movies. Don Carlos is one of those.

At first when I heard that Don Carlos was the father of Andres, I thought he was the owner of the rival hotel and that Dona Teresa had an affair, resulting in Andres.

Now things have progressed where I realize Don Carlos was Dona Teresa's husband who had an affair and Andres was the offspring. So, was the mother Angela?

And, how does that threaten the ownership of the hotel if Andres is a family member? I can see that it would cause a shift of power, but wouldn't the hotel ownership still be in the family?

Andres is the oldest son and obviously Don Carlos wanted to leave the hotel to him. Now that the letter is destroyed, Andres can't inherit the hotel any more, but as a member of the family it - as you wrote - causes a shift of power.

as far as Dona Teresa is concerned, Andres inheriting would mean the loss of the hotel since he is not her son and she would have no power over him... he is also the oldest and would inherit everything.

Yes, Angela is Andres's mother, but you haven't found out the rest of the story yet. 😋 I'll leave you to discover it. I don't believe in spoilers. 😄
