I was so excited to see they had finally released Season 3!!! It was so worth the wait. I will not spoil but the ending is just brilliant. I know its just a tv show but it was quite amazing!!!
I think he just wanted to start a new life with Alicia away from the Hotel. I don't know if they even knew what happened to Diego. But even with all the good and bad that happened to them in the Hotel I would have wanted a fresh start.
I see Im not the ONLY one who binged! I got to the finale by 5/20! I also wondered why Julio was so hell bent on leaving since Diego was dying. He was taking a chance that he might leave Alicia behind if she was struggling with leaving her family.......they could have all lived there happily ever after! On the other hand, there was a lot of baggage at the hotel.....(a little pun) that most people would want to leave behind.
I've been thinking about that quite a bit. I agree that there was baggage, but also, I think if they had stayed, he would always have been viewed as the "camerero". Away from the hotel, the two could be anything they wanted to be. I imagine they will at some point go back, when Julio has made something of himself.. Another question-- Are we all sure that the baby is Julio's?
Yes, we're sure. If you'll notice the hair, it's obvious they were trying to tell us who the father was. :) Besides, the timing was just right from the time Julio and Alicia got together to the end of the series. I'm so happy they put the rest up on Netflix, al fin. I had seen the third season online, but it was always a hassle trying to run the shows on those websites, and the picture wasn't nearly as good. Netflix at least gives us high-def. For example, I never noticed the scar on Cisneros' arm until I saw it on Netflix. And there are no popup ads or commercials.
I doubt there will be a sequel, but I would love to see more of our favorite stars in other shows, as well as anything Ramon Campos has to offer. I did see Velvet on Netflix and would love to see more seasons of that. But I consider Gran Hotel like an opera, something you don't really get tired of it's just so beautifully done. ¡Y la música! :)
I posted on the other thread just now.. but Ramon Campos has made another series which Yon is in.. It is called Bajo Sospecha and it is going to being shooting its second season in September. Yon is an under cover police with a completely different look than on Grand Hotel.. but he is still very hot. Here's the link to it.. its in Spanish and you have to register and pay to watch the show, which I did. http://www.antena3.com/series/bajo-sospecha/
Lo siento, pero mi español no está suficiente bueno para me a ver una película sin subtítulos. Quizás en un año... Pero, gracias. :) Lo disculpe cualquier errores.
