But they did. I saw scenes in the versions I'd seen online that had been cut from Grand Hotel on Netflix. One of them cut from the first episode answered a question I had always wondered about. When I saw it, I remember thinking this wasn't in the version on Netflix since I had watched it through many times and knew it all pretty well by then. And that was by no means the only missing scene I saw, especially in the third season.

Perhaps the different times you're showing are on account of the extensive previews of the next shows the original version had at the end as well as just-as-extensive recaps of previous storylines at the beginning of each episode. Netflix only had brief recaps at the start of their 45-minute episodes.

I watched the first two seasons (over and over) starting a year ago in June. We didn't get the third season until May of this year. I had figured out how to watch it online before that since after it showed in January on Sky Arts in the UK, it began to be available with English subtitles on some sites online. That's how I know Netflix has deleted some scenes. I don't know why they'd do that since they don't have to maintain a schedule. So sometimes it may seem like something is missing, and it probably is. You'll get a better picture on Netflix but more complete episodes online. You can imagine how frustrated I was for months. If you read these boards you'll see my posts. What Netflix does now, however, is very helpful for people like me trying to learn Spanish. They've put up optional Spanish subtitles for many of their Spanish shows, like this, Velvet, and El internado. The Spanish subtitles are exactly what is being said, so it's really helpful if I'm trying to figure out how they're saying something in Spanish if I can't hear it because they talk so fast. LOL Enjoy!

Right! I did manage to see the entire episodes for the first season on Hulu (they only have the first season), and they have the entire episodes. I noticed that scene about the suit in the first episode when I finally saw it, and I had wondered about that before. I was thinking how come no one seems to wonder what happened to that suit? :) There were quite a few little missing scenes in the Netflix showings. I have no idea why since they have no schedule to keep.

I've noticed a few errors, too, but nothing really significant. I notice the Spanish subtitles Netflix also has are almost verbatim what they're saying on my screen. Pretty amazing. They must have had the script because I don't know how anyone could catch all those words spoken that rapido. I would love to be able to watch Sky Arts, but it doesn't come through on US computers, well, at least on mine. I know I'm missing some scenes with the Netflix version. Go figure.

Last year and again this year on two different channels. One of them has the full series on demand (for free) at the moment.
