Oh! Simon...

Never really knew much about you. After seeing Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz I thought you were not bad (not great by any means but certainly NOT BAD). that marathon film and journalist film was very watchable too and then Paul was an easy watch and definitely entertaining.

An easy actor to watch on TV/Cinema - 6 out of 10

After watching Fear of Everything - 1 out of 125. Piss poor rubbish and from now on will associate yourself with this rotten muck until you redeem yourself. How could you lower yourself to this *beep* matey?

i agree with your view on shaun of the dead and hot fuzz. theyre very overrated. he's ok but not great. i think the americans like those 2 films a bit too much tbh

How are they overrated saying something like that without a reason makes me think you're either trolling or a hipster douchebag sheep who follows everyone else in hating something popular because you think it makes you cool.

reply

I don't have to explain further. I just don't think they are as good as people say. doesn't make me a troll or hipster lol

You must be out of your mind. Hot Fuzz is a fantastic film! Shaun Of The Dead & The World's End were both very good, too. Spaced is a great TV show. How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, Burke & Hare, and this movie were all pretty decent films in my opinion. Simon is also excellent in Mob City. Paul was okay at best. Kristen Wigg is terrible.... You guys are crazy. Simon Pegg is an underrated actor, very enjoyable.

Spaced was awesome. If you liked Spaced you might also like The IT Crowd.

I liked the movie. Both The World's End and this movie are pretty good, imo. What I like most about both is that if you dig really deep and think hard about the character/story they're pretty heartbreaking (I mean, this little boy is friggin left at a Laundromat by his mother with a small suitcase and a balloon!!!) but because there's a layer of comedy on top it softens the drama.

I like straight drama but I prefer dramedies like this one where you sometimes can't decide if you want to cry or laugh. It gives a rather complex feel and I think this is what Pegg does really well. He makes you believe that he's giving you a comedy but then breaks your heart at the same time.
