Movies with 50 cents always go straight to DVD. I mean he managed to drag Bruce Willis along with him.

Well he's playing a bit role as a pimp, (who does feature in the real story, so it could have been in the original script) so not exactly a vanity project for him. I think the only reason he managed to get the job is due to him becoming a producer and the main producer on the film is a co-producer with him on his ten picture deal with the studio or something.

So no need to worry, this isn't a 50 cent hijack.

I'm not sure why the release has been delayed for so long but it will be in theaters. It cost 27 million to make so there really is no chance it won't.
