I didn't see any topics posted on this. Cindy was talking about a tampon that she had inside her while she was being raped that she kept because it had Hansen's semen on it. Also, Cage was furious that no one thought to pick up test results from a hospital done on her. Why wasn't any of this evidence used against Hansen to put him on murder charges? So much of the movie is based on them not having enough physical evidence?

The jist I got from when they discussed it was that he stated the sex was consentual so it would his word against hers and as she was a prostitute at the time it's like an impossibility to prove.
If photos of her wounds were taken Hansen could've just said she liked it rough and again it's his word against hers.
It's wrong that homeless and prostitutes are considered crap witnesses but unfortunately it still happens!!!
