Just saw it and gotta say I really liked it. For a 2018 slasher film I found it above average. Had seemingly good procuction values for what I assume was a limited budget. Pretty good performances from an entirely unknown (at least to me) cast. And practical effects over CGI (god I hate CGI in slasher movies). The script wasn't perfect but better than the majority of low budget horror films and as the film progressed I found myself liking the characters a lot more than I was expecting to when they were first introduced.
It was a tight 89 minutes so didn't have time to drag and did a surprisingly good job of bulilding suspense at certain points. Based on one or two of the kills I suspect there was some gore left on the cutting room floor to make sure it stayed within the boundaries of an R rating so I wouldn't mind seeing an extended edition some day.
Overall I found it to be a fun horror movie that borrowed plenty from classics while having enough original content to be its own film. I say check it out and if you do let me know your thoughts!

Just wanted to know your opinion, you spent so much time defending the DCEU movies over the last year, Its got to be somewhat bittersweet for you.
While I'm sure your kinda relieve thats its final over and Future DC films now have a chance at finding success and most importantly being quality film, but its still got to bother you, You fought it very hard, no matter how bad it got, You just kept trying, I'll never forget the 2 months spent trying to spin Justice Leagues box office in a positive light...lol remember the Horribly FAILED "This is a crowd pleaser, Its gonna bode well for long term prospects" threads you created...remember how you Literally threw all common since out the window on JLs opening weekend and refused to except "Deadlines Projects" were even possible..lol..despite you yourself quoting Deadline before..lol You predicted a 150 Million + Opening Weekend, When projects started coming in that it was very low between 105 to 115 M, You literally went into a full blown fantasy world and claimed "Nope way to early, noway they could predict this early"....you then moved your prediction to 133 M+ on Opening....On Saturday Projects were coming in JL could fall below 100 Million, again You refused to except Projections were possible, and once again moved your prediction to 115 Million, but were 100% sure it would be over 100 M...
Sunday came revealing that JL had come in at a pathetic 93 M, you Then disappeared for 4 days.....only to return and claim JL was going to dominate Its 2nd weekend(which was Thanksgiving)...JL ended up having Twilight type drops over Thanksgiving...
lol You spent another month defending the movie at all cost....which is odd because Your expectations before the film opened were quite high, you predicted JL would easily hit 1 Billion...

I didn't love the DCEU...I'm a Marvel fan and Disney is my favorite studio...bar none. But I worry for Disney and their "swing for the fences" budget approach on every stinkin' film. For goodness sakes...they are going to lose tens of millions on a Pooh movie because they spent 75 million on it's production. They spent 115 million on A Wrinkle in Time which grossed 130 million WORLDWIDE and lost over a 100 million on A A STAR WARS FILM!
Next expensive almost surefire flop...The Nutcracker. Wreck It Ralph 2 is reported to cost 200 million and is going to be demolished by Universal/Illumination's 80 million-budgeted The Grinch and Mary Poppins Returns is a huge expensive question mark in a very crowded holiday corridor.
As for the future of WB/DC Films? I have a feeling it is laying the groundwork for a VERY hot run starting with Aquaman this Christmas and with Shazam in the Spring with Wonder Woman 1984 exploding a few months later.

Hell Fest is simple minded fun - a straight up slasher flick with no pretenses. It had SIX writers so you can see where too many cooks in the kitchen had a negative effect, but it's definitely watchable.
Predictable. Character aren't great. Sets, production and lighting are awesome.

shareBog standard slasher which is kind of refreshing for the time. It didn't pull me in but didn't bore me either. Like someone else said, it really needed titties. There is a reason those old slashers were so fun to watch.
