what does the tour guide kick aside at the beginning?

just before the bear scene, the tour guide sees some charred remains in a room and kicks it aside hoping the others dont see it. its never explained what this was. old fire? animal burnt?

as far as i know, he didnt know of anyone living there, so what could it of meant?

It was evidence of someone being there recently. It shocked him a bit, but he didn't want his tour to be freaked out, so he tried to hide it and ignore it.

I think it was piss, thats why approached the hand to feel it was still warm.

Remnants of a fire (that appeared to be still warm) indicating people are living inside the buildings

This also was why he got so concerned when heard noises (bear) and found wires wrecked in van
