I liked the movie but the one thing I had a problem with....

Is the soldiers at the end. They were there for several days looking for these creatures, which is why I am assuming that Pryipiat (sp) was "closed for maintenance." So, in the 2 days they were there it took the soldiers that long to make it to the reactor and find them? They were actively hunting these creatures but failed to track themdown for quite some time. Maybe I'm reading too much into it...I don't know.

I kind of thought just the same. It was too much of a coincidence that the soldiers were supposed to be around for such a long time and never spotted the group, even they were walking and running all over the place, screaming, shooting, fighting, etc.

Another thing: why the last guy (can't remember his name) didn't speak Russian to the soldiers once they were face to face??? He just kept saying "Help! Help!". He was supposed to speak Russian, right?

And another question: why were "the creatures" able to live for so long after being exposed to the radiation, and they also became violent and irrational, while our "heroes" seemed to remain just the same till the end, despite the burning faces and eyes.

It's just a movie, I know, but that's just something I've been thinking of after watching this for the very first time (last night). Good movie, though. I liked it a lot. The setting is one of the creepiest and most realistic I've ever seen in a horror flick.

I assumed the soldiers at the end would have been Russians where as the main guy spoke Ukrainian.

Looks like there was hundreds of these creatures. They're not going to round up all of them conveniently at the same time, it would take a couple days to round up that many people and the creatures obviously don't move as one single mass.
