Yearbook as catalog?

It may be odd, given the number of improbabilities in this film, but the thing that strained my suspension of disbelief the most was the yearbook. Bob's M.O. was essentially random, apart from the kidnapping of Sarah and Tim where Brad had set them up to catch a cab at a particular place and time. So how the hell could he be confident of successfully kidnapping whatever girl Rabbit might select out of the yearbook? It doesn't make sense, and it wasn't really necessary to the plot, either.

I think the girl is ment to be a gift to rabbit, Bob just wanted to make sure it would be a girl he wanted I'm thinking, since rabbit couldn't go out and pick like he could.

I don't think he kidnaped the exact girl from the book. He make him choose a type. He insists on that when they drive in town, knowing your type.

Well he actually did. You can see it's her pic in the yearbook and it reads Angie next to it. As Madd13 said it is a present from Bob, it has to be special, his own pick. When they go hunting together he teaches him about the types alright.

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War Room!"
