Question: How many women.... (spoilers)
How many women did Bob kill?
We actually see him kill 3 or 4 (I think) but it is implied that he does this quite regularly. Rabbit's Mum is not his first, and as Rabbit is with him for several years it's clear he is killing over a long period.
This question is related to what I think is the biggest plot hole in the movie. Namely the fact that he is never caught! I mean, there he is driving the same bright yellow cab around the same town for years (decades?) Before they disappeared some of the victims would have told their friends and family that they were getting a cab. Is there no CCTV in this town? Were there never any witnesses? No forensic (tire tracks etc) at the kidnap scenes? After a few kidnaps didn't the police increase their patrols to saturation level? Did nobody ever wonder about the anti-social guy who lives alone in the remote farmhouse? Did nobody ever call at the house (postman? TV licence company? census-takers, surveyors? Jehovahs witnesses??) while Rabbit was there and Bob was out? Nobody at all, over ten years???!!
I actually really like this movie - believe it or not! lol. Great acting from the two leads - and also from the kid who plays the young Tim. But if you're looking for plot holes, nevermind the newspaper cutting or the knife wound or the second wife. The obvious flaw is why the FXXX did Bob get away with it for so long??? 8=)
