The movie is garbage because nothing significant happens very often. You could edit out this film to a tight 15 minutes without losing any of the plot.

Yes, this is a very bad film. I usually never stop watching films, but I turned this one off. I only forced myself to finish it. It is quite tedious. The idea could easily have been done as a short film. It didn't warrant a full feature length running time.
Jennifer Lynch is an appalling director. She comes off as wanting to make things as sick & depraved just for the sake of trying to be a "deep" & "thought provoking" filmmaker, but she is just quite rubbish.
I also find it pathetic to see David Lynch fans on fansites with their sycophantic fawning over Jennifer Lynch & her films. If this junk was made by a different director, but just as incompetent, they wouldn't give it any attention.
You're right about a fair amount of what you wrote, but I think this could have been much better in someone's hands other than Lynch. Just saying.
