Wig?
Does anyone know if Essie Davis wears a wig as Phryne? I'm just intrigued because her hair texture looked so different in The Babadook.

I remember reading an article about Essie Davis letting them dye and cut her hair, her own was so thick that it wouldn't fit under a wig.
But, sometimes it looks so perfect it's hard to believe it is her real hair.
She's beautiful as a brunette, but also as herself, a blonde.
She's always perfectly gorgeous. Period :)
shareI think she's naturally a brunette, though not as dark as in this mystery series. At least going by her page here on imdb, where there are various photos of her.
I think her hair was bleached for Babadook, which accounts for the different hair texture: it was damaged.
Whatever her natural hair color is, she looks gorgeous with that hair. I'm tempted to get that haircut, but it wouldn't look like that on my face!
I am SO tempted to get the same hair style too but I have to repeatedly reign myself in b/c that cut would look terrible on me.
I was actually hoping Essie's hair on MFMM was a wig so I could find out where they got it (and buy it too).
