Oh Miss Fisher you are such a hussy!!!!

And I so love that about her! :-)))))))))))))

I just know Miss F was a regular at Virginia's house and was routinely seen doing the black bottom with Lytton Strachey in the parlor.

I'm looking forward the fantasy of a Christmas Special called "Miss Fisher's Memoirs" in which we go back to the war and Paris years and get her full life story until now...

Yes she does get around doesn't she? Sometimes it makes me wonder . . .

reply

Yes, she is! Not just flashy, but promiscuous, too! I wonder how much Jack knows about that?

reply

I think Jack knows that she "entertains male guests" quite frequently, but I don't think he knows the full extent of those involvements. It seems like she keeps those visitations pretty private, unless Jack happens to drop by while they're there. She doesn't apologize for her promiscuity, but she's smart enough to keep her affairs to herself, if only just to spare Jack the emotional agony.

I almost fell off the couch where in the episode about the historical "talkie" film, she wakes up in bed with one of the black male actors still in his costume. And then she slaps his bottom before waltzing downstairs to meet Jack. Incredible.

we don't need another miss marple, it's fun to see a woman portrayed in another era having fun without regret. i do enjoy that sparky personality of hers

Love Miss F!

reply

I love this aspect of Phyrne, too... she is so unapologetic! Still, silly romantic that I am (as I watch Season 2), I hope she'll eventually return Jack's depth of feeling and settle down with him. ;}

reply

If you read the books you get a lot more of her back story.

reply

I like her unapologetic nature and her willingness to engage in whatever sort of sexual encounters she chooses. OTOH, I think it portrays a conflicted/unhappy person when it's played off against whatever feelings she has for Jack. He is clearly NOT a free wheeling sort, and the mismatch between those two is downright painful at times. With freedom to do whatever one wants comes responsibility/accountability. It's just the way it is.

Love isn't what you say or how you feel, it's what you do. (The Last Kiss)

The OP has deleted their account. That is their post just in case this thread gets zapped.
