Funniest of the whole roast...

Amy Schumer was the finest, though...;-)

I laughed once during his bit

reply

I thought it was funny when he was talking during that one bitch's roast. "I've been sitting next to this bitch the whole time and didn't expect that *beep* or something like that.

reply

@xFAM0USx

Agreed. Patrice was hilarious on Tough Crowd, but his roasting didn't work.

reply

Really? I thought he was easily the best and funniest. Humor is subjective though.

reply

I agree. I thought he was the funniest too.

reply

He's the most naturally funny of all the people there because he doesn't need those scripted, mean-spirited, quips. He was laugh-out-loud hilarious to me just saying, "you're a f_king a$$hole, Captain Kirk!"

reply

Yeah, he was, as William Shatner interjected, "Telling it as it is." And he seemed to be going off the cuff for the most part, which was really what made him so damn good.

Who are you?! I'm the Doctor!!

reply

Yeah. He killed me with that "Seth Macfarlane needs a partner like Hanna had Barbera." So natural and direct with it.

He's the Man.

reply

he was def the best tonight. but overall a very weak dais. comedy central shoulda stacked the card.

Funny how all these black comedians are bashing white people throughout their entire routines but as soon as the jokes goes on their expense they start snivelling.

reply

Either it was his first roast and he was caught off guard, or he was actually just joking about the whole thing.

Ah, I get it. Your hypothesis is that Patrice (isn't that a girl's name?) was "acting" just like Colbert when he pretends to be a Republican.

I get it. If Patrice was acting, I know a lot of blacks in my city that "act" all the time...

reply

It's really sad how many people don't get it. No he wasn't really offended you dopes. Acting that way was a means to an end, with that end being to give people s**t, it being a roast and all.

What's this guy's problem? It's exactly as I said, they're a bunch of hypocrites.

Kinda weird that he is dead now after all they were saying about him....

reply

He was horrible and seemed intent on bringing everyone's mood down.

reply

Message to Patrice: It was a roast. Everyone gets hit, you just couldn't take it.

reply

his crack about how it bugged him that white people are so comfortable around tyson now, made me lol hard.

Totally agree. I didn't think he was all that good. He really seemed offended by the jokes. When he was calling Shatner an a-hole, it was pretty clear that it was a shot at him, not supposed to be a joke.

A previous poster is absolutely right. How dare the black comedians get offended at the racial stuff...most black comedians use half their show just busting on white people...and we laugh it off!

reply

Oh, ugh, he was terrible! So not funny and he seemed very upset at the jokes about him. What a hypocrite.

Re: the diabetes, this is almost always caused by obesity (except in type I which is mostly found in childhood). So why hasn't he lost weight to help control this and possibly save his life?

Thanks for the link. That was fun to hear. Do you know where I can find Patrice O'Neal talking about The Office? I'd love to hear that.

reply

The best thing Patrice does is making it seem like he is doing unscripted material. He does same thing with his stand up. I liked when he was saying Shatner was "kinda racist". He was fun, but Jesselnik (sp?) and Shumer (sp?) and Ross were the best I thought.

These roasts without Greg Giraldo just shows how good he was.

reply

I guess Big Homey has never seen a roast before, so after he's be ripped apart with all the others he comes up there and calls them racists and *beep* In other words he's not funny or smart enough to come back at them with anything other than anger. Leave him, Tyson & Steve-o out of any more roasts.

reply

At first, I didn't care too much for Patrice's set. But after re-watching the roast, I've decided that he might have been the best one there.
