Adam Levine makes me want to kill myself

This movie was awesome, with the exception that every time Adam Levine sang I wanted to stab my ears repeatedly and fast forward to when he was done singing. It was unbearable to listen to the parts of the movie when he was singing. This was one of the worst casting calls I've ever seen.
Everyone else was absolutely great and I would have enjoyed this so much more if there was a different actor for his part, he can't act and he can't sing.

On a more positive note, does Keria Knightley actually sing in this movie, because if she does, or whoever is dubbing her singing voice is fantastic.

I love his voice and his singing. I'm sorry that you are missing that.

He's certainly got a distinctive voice and that's always going to be something you either love or hate.. I'm not a fan personally but like Billy Corgan in the Smashing Pumpkins which I know draws similar differing opinions

His voice is so shrill.

He is an excellent singer. Even if you personally don't like the song, or his style, you can't deny his singing talent.
I also happen to think he is a decent actor.

What are you talking about? He's singing is very good indeed.

Was it a millionaire who said "Imagine no possessions"?

reply

He played a doucher who sold his soul to pop stardom....casting was perfect.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Word. Thanks for the laugh.

I'm pretty sure Adam Levine is the catalyst for the ultimate demise of humanity.

I had the exact opposite impression. Everyone who sang in the movie was average at best and the one who really stood out was Levine. Dude can sing. If nothing else, this movie really drives home how wide the gulf is between average wannabe rockstars and real rock stars.

I guess Knightley was serviceable in this role, she is a fine actress, but it really would have helped the movie if she was a better singer.
