shareThe point of that scene was that he was giving up on alcohol for awhile. He wasn't bashing Pepsi per se (though I was wondering if Pepsi paid for that strange placement), he was bashing the idea of soft drinks instead of booze.

shareI took it that the point was he had only been drinking beer and whiskey for so long. He decided to clean up his act so he wouldn't lose his job again. But he forget what soda taste like. I didn't take it as a dig against Pepsi specifically.
